13) Movie Review: A Quiet Place (2018) – TENSION!!
In contrast to the usual order of play, Nick reviews a movie he likes. But first, the latest rendition of movie news explores Marvel’s ‘The Eternals’ trailer and why it makes no sense, new movies which aren’t that new since they were supposed to come out a year ago, and trailers for new movies that are actually new, or at least newer than the older new movies.
The main event involves a look at what has become a cult classic, despite only being 3 years old. A Quiet Place broke Hollywood by earning almost 20 times what it cost to make. However, that won’t stop a podcast currently earning -20 times its cost from forming opinions about it. The big discussion points this week focus on how a first-time director who had never watched a horror film made the best horror film of the decade, the medical complications of shoving a nail through your foot, and something about fruit and a stun gun.
